Real Ale lovers from Staffordshire have shown recently that they know a great pint when they taste it; by voting Bathams best bitter the best in the show. CAMRA heart of Staffordshire branch held their annual festival at the end of July at the Blessed William Howard School, Stafford. More than 70 real ales were tried by over 1800 visitors. Each voted for their favourite with Bathams emerging top Pint.
Organisers hailed the 4th show a great success, “Numbers were well up on last year and the show was a complete sell out”.
Branch representatives visited the brewery to present the Trevor Edwards award, for the festivals favourite beer, in memory of a long serving member. Janet Edwards, and Neil Butler (Chairman) presented the award to head brewer Martin Birch adding, “ Bathams Bitter, sold more, and ran out faster than any other beer at the festival!”
