Bathams backed comedy Drama trio, The Fizzogs are going back on the road – with a cocktail of Continental flavoured spice and Black Country fun and frolics.
Fizzog Productions will embark on a new tour in February with new venues and some hilarious new characters and routines. “The 50 Per Cent Funnier Comedy Tour” will feature many of the inimitable personalities featured in previous sell-out shows – The Ode Folk, Mags and Barb, the School Kids, Wayne Kerr and compere Barbara Nice (aka TV Janice Connolly).
New to the shows are the Burlesque Dance Troup, who blend some Black Country grit with exotic, flirty and feisty choreography, Derek Mac, a comic/fitter, fresh from a summer season in Spain and available for weddings, funerals, bar mitzvahs, kitchens and bathrooms.
Jacky Fellows, co-founder of the Quarry Bank-based company, says,
This is our most ambitious project yet and promises more characters, more venues and, most importantly, more laughter. We embarked on our first tour last year and broke new ground in Oldbury, Kidderminster and Birmingham where the shows went down a storm to near sell-out audiences. This year we are venturing into Wolverhampton and Bridgnorth, as well as our familar ‘home’ venues where we hope to prove once again that Black Country humour knows no boundaries.
Please do try to make a date to see the show, all at Bathams wish them every success with their tour.
The tour dates are:
- Feb 9: Bridgnorth Theatre on The Steps
- Feb 10: Netherton Arts Centre
- Feb 16: Birmingham Old Rep
- Feb 17: Netherton Arts Centre
- Feb 24: Newhampton Arts Centre, Wolverhampton
- Feb 25: Newhampton Arts Centre, Wolverhampton.
Tickets cost £15 and are available from the venues.
